Payment

We accept all major credit & debit card payments online via the payment gateway Stripe. We can also take orders over the phone by credit/debit card, please call our shop on 01386 859126 and we will be happy to assist.

We value our overseas customers and can deliver worldwide, prices are calculated depending on where in the world you are viewing our site. All prices include VAT. Any local duties or taxes levied at the point of entry into the destination country are out of our control and payments for these are the responsibility of the customer. If you are unsure about these charges, do please contact us and we will do our best to advise.

Delivery

Important Note Re Christmas Opening Times and Despatch Times:

We will continue to despatch until Monday the 23rd of December but delivery will be after Christmas. Click & collect is still available from our shop until 2.00pm on Christmas Eve.

Orders placed after the 24th December and over the Christmas and New Year period will be despatched week commencing 6th January 2024..

We use Royal Mail and courier services for shipping packages within the United Kingdom. Postage charges will be calculated automatically depending on your order value as follows:

United Kingdom

Order value up to £14.00: £2.50
Between £14.00 - £24.00: £3.75
Between £24.00 - £49.00: £5.95
Between £49.00 - £150.00: £7.95

Orders with a value of over £150.00 are delivered free of charge within the United Kingdom only.

For Channel Islands and overseas destinations, shipping charges will be higher depending on your address for delivery and total weight of package. If you would like an estimate of shipping costs prior to placing an order please contact us for assistance. Please note that the maximum weight for international shipping is 2kg for regular airmail services. If your package weighs more than 2kg then a courier service will be required and you will be notified of any additional shipping costs via email.

Orders for items in stock are usually despatched within 3-5 working days. Please allow longer during very busy times - especially Christmas! We do our very best to despatch as quickly as we can, but we are primarily a bricks and mortar business without a warehouse and the luxury of a dedicated packing team! On occasion an item may sell in our shop before we have time to update the stock position on the website - we apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause - we will do our best to fulfil the order as soon as possible and will notify you by email of any items out of stock.

We lovingly wrap all orders ourselves in the shop in crisp tissue paper. If you would like an item gift wrapped and sent directly to the recipient please do contact us to arrange this or make a note when placing your order.

We make every effort to keep our packaging as environmentally friendly as possible, reusing boxes where possible and using recycled / recyclable materials.

Returns & Refunds

We hope that you will love your purchase from Betty & Violet! If you are unhappy with anything, do please contact us in the first instance and we will try to resolve for you. In the unlikely event of damaged or defective goods, please notify us within 48 hours of receipt and provide photographic evidence of damage if applicable.

Items may be returned within 14 days of receiving your package for a full refund or exchange. Goods must be returned in the same condition they were sold and in original packaging if possible. Delivery & collection charges are not refundable. Please obtain a proof of postage when returning items.

Description of Goods

We take every care to ensure that the descriptions of products are accurate. Please do bear in mind that many items are either handmade using vintage and antique materials or genuine antique/vintage goods and therefore will show natural signs of wear and tear associated with age!
